Grudges

I'm excited to hear what you al think about this. I'm having a problem with the gods treatment towards the humans. After reading book five of The Odyssey i have come to the conclusion that i don't much like Poseidon any more. And that's saying a lot because he was my favorite god because he loves the ocean/ water just like me. However, right now i'm not so sure that I like him because of how he has been treating poor old Odysseus recently in the book so far. At first i didn'tbelieve that all the Gods were like this, but after discussing it in class with people I have realized that all the gods hold these stupid little grudges against the mortals. I feel like the gods shldnt be this way because it causes the humans more trouble. It also makes it more difficult for the humans to please the gods. The only real excuse I can come up with for the gods is that their grudges last longer because they have no sense of human time and life span. They also probably don't care about the humans because they are so insignificant, but then again if humans mean so little how come the gods hold grudges against them or care All together I believe that the gods hold their grudges for way too long. if any of you disagree or agree with me please blog about it so i can see your thoughts and opinions. :)
